Alex recently attained her Bachelor of Education from the University of Toronto after achieving her Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from Ryerson University in the Theatre Performance Dance Programme. She began her training in Hamilton at The Dance Centre with Lou and Pauline Zamprogna. Alex trained in jazz, tap and ballet and completed her Advanced 1 Royal Academy of Dance examination in classical ballet in 2004. Alex had the opportunity to further hone her dance skills under the direction of Ryerson University’s renowned faculty: Nadia Potts (ballet), Karen Duplisea (modern) and Vicki St. Denys (jazz). She also had the opportunity to study with Tanya Evidente, Maureen Consolati (ballet); Derek Sangster, Linda Garneau (jazz). She has also worked with distinguished choreographers such as; Kenny Pearl, Robert Glumbek, Johanna Bergfeldt, Darryl Tracy and Holly Small (modern).

Alex has had a love for performance from an early age and has worked professionally in Television (Degrassi) and Animation. She has also performed professionally in Musical Theatre at Theatre Aquarius (Annie, The Sound of Music, Footloose, Les Miserables); The Tarragon (A Little Princess); and The Royal Alexandra Theatre (Jane Eyre). She has been teaching R.A.D ballet, jazz and tap for the The Dance Centre since 1999 and began teaching drama and dance for the Theatre Aquarius Performing Arts Programme in 2006.
