“I have 2 daughters who have been dancing at ‘The Dance Centre’ for the past decade. As a family, we chose this studio as dance is valued as an art form and as a discipline. All children learn proper technique, at the right age levels with an emphasis on the child’s physical development. As an educator, I also am aware of the emotional, social and mental health of children and teens and the impact that dance can have to support their overall growth. ‘The Dance Centre honours the student and their families. They do this through the way the classes are taught, the qualifications of teaching staff, the performance opportunities and the goal setting to complete ballet examinations. ‘The Dance Centre’ is educating each dancer to complete an entire syllabus of steps. Uniform

Pre-Ballet/Pre-Primary: Black short-sleeved bodysuit, pink circular skirt with gathered waist, ankle socks or tights and leather ballet shoes with full sole OR white t-shirt, black shorts, white socks, leather ballet shoes with full sole

Primary: Pink short-sleeved bodysuit (Capezio or Mondor) and matching wrap skirt, pink ankle socks and leather pink ballet shoes with full sole

Grade 1: Purple short-sleeved bodysuit (Mondor) with matching belt, pink ankle socks, leather ballet shoes with full sole, character shoes with low heel required in November.

Grade 2: Teal short-sleeved bodysuit (Mondor) with matching belt, ballet tights, leather ballet shoes with full sole, character shoes with low heel required in November.

Grade 3: Teal sleeveless bodysuit (Mondor) with matching belt, ballet tights, leather ballet shoes with full sole, character shoes with Cuban heel required in November.

Grade 4: Navy sleeveless bodysuit (Mondor) with matching belt ballet tights, leather ballet shoes with full sole.

Inter Foundation: Black tank bodysuit with pinch front (Mondor), ballet tight, leather ballet shoes (split -sole permitted).

Intermediate: Black bodysuit with pinch front or square neckline (Mondor), ballet tights, leather ballet shoes (split -sole permitted), pointe shoes. Short skirt may be worn.

Pre-Jazz/Tap: White t-shirt, black shorts, white socks, jazz and tap shoes or ballet uniform.

Junior Jazz 1/2: Pink or Purple short-sleeved bodysuit (or ballet bodysuit), black shorts, ankle socks, jazz shoes

Junior Jazz 3/4: Teal bodysuit (or ballet bodysuit), black shorts, ballet tights, jazz shoes

Inter Jazz 1: Navy or black sleeveless bodysuit, black shorts, ballet tights, jazz shoes

Inter Jazz 2: Black sleeveless bodysuit, black shorts, convertible ballet tights, shoes

Contemporary: Leggings or shorts or footless ballet tights, bodysuit or t-shirt.

Tap: T-shirt or ballet bodysuit, black shorts, tap shoes

Proper fit is essential! Please take your child with you to try on bodysuits and shoes as often returns are not accepted.
