Attention focuses on: Improvisation, acting styles and techniques, vocal training, stage movement.
Through the use of various theatre “games” and exercises students will develop invaluable life skills such as: Working in a group, self-reflection, critical thinking, creativity, confidence, self-expression, presentation and communication.
ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
Lina has been a professional actor for 25 years. Appearing on stage and screen across Canada and the U.S. After graduating from Sheridan College’s Music Theatre Program she went on to perform on Holland America Cruise Lines as a singer/dancer. Returning home she appeared at the Stratford Festival in The Pirates of Penzance, Cyrano de Bergerac and Alice Through The Looking Glass. Soon after, appearing at the Elgin Theatre in The Who’s Tommy. She has performed in numerous theatres across Canada including Theatre Aquarius in Glory Days.
She was the lead in the film, Looking for Angelina, and Homie Spumoni as well as appearing in The Colossal Failure of a Modern Relationship.
Her passion for the arts continues to evolve. She has directed commercial auditions for Mann Casting and Powerhouse Casting in Toronto. She also had her own radio show, The Performers Lounge with Lina G on 93.3. The last two years she has been teaching children and young adults to explore their passion for the arts and loves it.
Lina continues to work as an actor in TV and film. She is thrilled and excited to share her experiences with young future artists at The Dance Centre Grimsby.
